Hello, I am Midori.
Welcome to my 3D world!
I am a passionate 3D Lighter and 3D Generalist with a deep love for storytelling through digital art forms. My work exists at the intersection of creativity and technology, where pixels meet emotion, and characters come to life. I’m especially drawn to how visual storytelling can move people, spark imagination, and bring communities together across boundaries. From the gentle glow of lighting that sets a scene’s mood to visual effects that breathe realism into characters, I strive to craft visuals that not only look stunning but resonate deeply within my attention to detail and curiosity in always learning new things.

My background is as diverse as the stories I aim to tell. Born in a Japanese family, raised in Brazil, educated in a Swiss school, and now building my career in the U.S., I have always seen the world through a wide, multicultural lens that has so much potential to create wonderful things together. This unique perspective influences my artistic voice and fuels my interest in global narratives, diverse cultures, and rich artistic techniques.
In 2025, I gradduated in Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with an Animation B.F.A and Visual Effects minor. As a cerative, I am diving deeper and deeper into the world of 3D animation and visual effects, constantly exploring new ways technology can empower artists and elevate storytelling. I am a person who is always looking for new and exciting opportunities, that can challenge me to keep dreaming and moving forward.
Let’s connect if you are interested in storytelling, creative collaboration, or just want to explore the latest lighting, visual effects techniques or discuss any topic from the amazing 3D world of tech art.

Education
2021-2025
Animation B.F.A
Visual Effects Minor
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)
Atlanta, GA, United States
During university, I built a strong foundation in both the artistic and technical aspects of 3D animation — from concept development and storyboarding to 3D modeling, rigging, photogrammetry, character fx, texturing, lighting, rendering and compositing. My minor in Visual Effects deepened my understanding of lighting, compositing, matte painting, and digital environments, allowing me to blend creativity with technical precision for animated or live-action productions and games.

I gained hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Unreal Engine, Nuke, Marvelous Designer, After Effects, Photoshop and developed a comprehensive understanding of animation principles, lighting, and rendering workflows. Collaborating on team-based projects strengthened my problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, while my capstone project showcased my ability to handle multiple stages of the 3D pipeline from concept to final render.

Additional highlights include being the Technical Director and Lighting Director of my capstone short film, Phony (2025), besides participating in other student films such as Little Moments, House Of Ghoul, Holy Mole-y and others.
2013-2020
High School and Elementary School
Swiss School of Sao Paulo
Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil
Before university, I attended an international Swiss school that combined the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme with the national curriculum. Growing up in such a multicultural environment gave me a deep appreciation for global perspectives and diverse ways of thinking.
I earned multiple language certificates in French (DELF A2, B1, B2, and DALF C1) , German (DSD A1, A2, and B1), and English (Cambridge C1, and IB Diploma), which strengthened my communication skills and cultural understanding. I was also an active member of the Swiss Model United Nations debate club, where I developed my confidence in public speaking, critical thinking, and collaboration through engaging discussions. My international education not only shaped my worldview but also inspired my creative approach by blending curiosity, adaptability, and cross-cultural awareness in everything I do.
